Add a pop of color with new themed date dots and widget packs!

Coming this week and next to Pages Planned- new themed date dot packs and widget packs to create more colorful and themed spreads!

While the pages are still holding true to their minimal nature, every now and then you just need a pop of something to really make a special day, event, or even a whole month stand out.

By request, I am bringing back some of the fun clip art style date dots and widgets from the past, along with a few new ones that are sure to be fast favorites! I plan to release coordinated sets at least once a month, and offer these as a special to Planner Starter Subscribers as an extra thank you. These won't be on a set schedule due to the time it takes to create them, but I'll be doing my best to work ahead as I can to get these to you more regularly in the future!

Upcoming themes include Teacher Appreciation/School Graduation, Furry Friends, Outdoor Adventures, Cozy Cuddles, and more!

The first set of date dots is already released, and you can check it out here. Be sure to stay tuned for the matching widget and sticker pack!

Using The Time Tracker Style Inserts

Starting this week, I'll be adding new daily layouts to give you a variety of styles to choose from. A few of these layouts will feature a tracker style schedule that you can use to visually see how you're spending your time each day.

In the picture I've included, you can see how this insert works in a paper planner as a printable- and you can easily do the same in your digital planners!

Simply pick colors that represent how you're spending your time- working, studying, driving, workout out, cooking, sleeping... whatever you want to visually see on your schedule. Then, in the grid, color in the spaces with the corresponding color.

Since these layouts feature three separate lines, you may choose to track how you plan to spend your time vs how it's actually spent, or keep track of you schedule and those of your spouse or children as well.

However you use it, this is a great way to add some color to your day while tackling all of the tasks ahead!

What Are Decorative Goodnotes Sticker Collections?

Decorative Goodnotes Sticker Collections are a type of sticker that is based on clip art. These often come in coordinated bundles sharing a theme and color palette to help you to create a cohesive digital planner spread.

Decorative stickers are often hand drawn, and therefore take longer to produce than simpler stickers like widgets. They are made with great detail, which allows them to size up in your planner to easily cover large portions of your page without looking distorted. Because of this, they're great for making your own digital dashboards, or even a journal cover.

Because clipart is highly valuable beyond stickers, at Pages Planned these collections are offered ONLY in Goodnotes files. That means that these sticker types do not currently come with PNG files. What you do get is a Goodnotes Elements Collection, along with a Goodnotes sticker book. You will need the Goodnotes app in order to open both of these types of files.

Decorative stickers are often released according to the season or current holidays, although as I upload past collections or update some of the stickers in my own collection, you may find out of season additions on the website. Occasionally, you may also find that these off-peak collections go on sale, so you can save when you stock up and be ready to plan later in the year.

You can check out all of the current Decorative Goodnotes Stickers here!

What are Widgets?

There's lots of different kinds of digital stickers available to add to your digital planner. You'll find realistic stickers, decorative stickers, and widgets regularly here at Pages Planned.

But what are widgets, exactly?

Widgets are a type of sticker that has fewer details, so that you can add more of them to your planner pages without slowing your planner app down. When sticker files are larger, they tend to "weigh down" the program, and can cause lag in switching pages, selecting objects, and planning in general. Widgets solve this problem by keeping things on the basic side.

Widgets typically serve a function in your planner. Sometimes, they allow you to adjust your layout, by adding a place for notes or a different schedule layout. On blank pages, you can create a layout from scratch using widgets, adding the exact sections you need to track your schedule.

In addition to functional widgets, there are often simple widgets, like shapes and icons, that you can use to add text, or layer them to create a personalized sticker. You may also use icons or shapes to mark off items on a checklist, track the weather, or annotate a specific reminder- like turning on your alarm after spring break.

At Pages Planned, widgets come as PNG photo files that you can use in any digital planning app that allows photos as stickers. In addition to individual PNG files, you also get Goodnotes Elements Collections and a Goodnotes Sticker Book.

Whatever you use them for, widgets are an effective way to add some personality to your pages and make your spreads even more functional for you. You can find all sorts of widgets here at Pages Planned in our Widgets Collection.

How To Import Elements Collection Files to GoodNotes

This is the third video in this series- how to get started digital planning with inserts in GoodNotes 6.

Today, we're exploring how to add GoodNotes elements collections to the app so you can start planning with stickers and widgets easily!

When you purchase a sticker or widget pack from my shop, most times I will also include a GoodNotes Element Collection for you to quickly and easily import into the app directly. These files are only meant to work with the GoodNotes app.

There are a few quick and easy ways to get your files into the app in less than a minute, and this video outlines two of the ways I often use- just depending if I'm in the files app when I think about importing them, or if I'm in the Goodnotes app and want to grab a new set of stickers from my files.

Don't mind the Picture in Picture- just covering the contact photos of some people I had recently been texting who may not want to be featured in this video!

If you have any questions, be sure to comment and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks so much for being here on this journey with me!

xoxo, Elli

Pages Planned Companion Color Palettes- Now available for members!

You can now grab a convenient PDF to import to your favorite planning app!

This PDF is designed to help you create aesthetically cohesive spreads when you're using products from Pages Planned. The PDF includes, in alphabetical order, each of the 35 main color palettes used to design stickers and widgets offered at Pages Planned.

Each palette showcases the three main colors in a large square so you can easily use an eyedropper tool to pull the color quickly. In the event you're using a program that doesn't have an easy eyedropper, HEX codes are included under each color swatch.

This system allows you to match your text and highlighter colors, or even create some of your own personal widgets or stickers in apps like Canva and Procreate.

Enjoy, and I can't wait to see how you use these palettes!

xoxo,
